  • I got an error message when I tried to download an eText from the cloud. Why?

Each eText can be installed on a limited number of devices at the same time. This limit varies by eText and is chosen by the publisher. If you try to download a book after this limit is reached, you will receive the following error message.

You have already downloaded this book onto the maximum number of devices allowed. You’ll need to delete the book from one of the other devices or remove the other devices from your online profile.

If you wish to install the book on another device, you must first delete the book from one of the devices on which it is currently installed.

    Notes:

    • This will allow you to download the book to one new device.
    • The book and all notes/highlights you have made in it will remain in the cloud, associated with your account, so you can re-download it later if necessary
  • Icons in the Texidium eReader look jumbled and out of alignment. Why?

This problem occurs when a user signs in to Texidium after an update to the platform has been rolled out. It is caused by your browser attempting to display out-of-date images for icons that were altered in the update. To correct this problem, simply clear your browser’s cache and then sign back in to Texidium.

    2. In your Options menu, click Highlights and Sharing. You are directed to a list of note/highlight categories available to you.

Texidium users can share their note categories, allowing subscribed users to see every note and highlight they have made in a category.

    5. Enter the subscription code you were given, and then click Subscribe.

You are subscribed to the shared category. All notes and highlights made under that category will be reflected in your eTexts.

    Notes and tips:

    • Only the sharer can edit or delete shared notes/highlights. Subscribers can only view them.
    • As a subscriber, you can adjust the way a shared category looks in your eTexts if you don’t like the name or colour the sharer assigned it. This will only affect how the category looks in your eTexts.
    • It is recommended that you unsubscribe to note categories when they are no longer necessary (e.g. when you graduate or change courses).
  • How do I unsubscribe from a shared note category?

To unsubscribe from a shared note category:

    1. Sign in to Texidium.
    2. In your Options menu, click Highlights and Sharing.
    3. Under My Subscriptions, click the arrow next to the shared category you wish to unsubscribe from, and then click Delete.
